How to Choose a Crystal for Your Desk

How to Choose a Crystal for Your Desk

Start with the space

Your desk is where you spend a large part of your day. A small stone on it is not a decoration — it is a point of rest for the eyes. When you look up from the screen, you see something natural, something that was not made in a factory.

Three things to consider

1. Color. What color do you want to see every day? If your desk is mostly white or grey, a warm yellow citrine or a deep purple amethyst adds a point of interest. If your desk is wooden and warm, a clear quartz or black obsidian keeps it clean.

2. Size. A desk stone should not compete with your work. A cluster 8–12cm wide, or a point 8–10cm tall, is enough. It should be something you notice, not something that gets in the way.

3. Feel. This is the most important. Some people are drawn to the weight of a stone in the hand. Others prefer something light. There is no right answer — pick what you are drawn to.

Our suggestions

- For a clean, minimal desk: Clear Quartz Point or Obsidian Mala

- For a warm, wooden desk: Citrine Bracelet or Tiger's Eye

- For a soft, personal desk: Rose Quartz Rough or Moonstone Bracelet

- For a reader's desk: Red Sandalwood Mala or Copper Hulu

A final thought

You do not need a reason to keep a stone on your desk. It does not need to "do" anything. It just needs to be there — quiet, natural, and yours.
